The talented arranger “Beau” Ray Fleming worked on these songs at the time of Lucien’s masterpiece ‘Search For The Inner Self’. The production team chose an obscure Jimmy Williams and Estell Levitt song ‘Strawberries Don't Know Cherries’, previously only known from an acetate. Fleming would have known the pair from the New York music business and picked a great song for Lucien that showed another tougher and funkier side to the singer.
