FESTIVAL SHOW FROM BOWIE IN 2002
-
A creation of electronics whizz-kid Moby, inspired as he was by the Lollapalooza tours, the Area Festival kicked off - as Area One - in
2001. Area Two followed in 2002 since when it has been on hiatus. Featuring Moby himself, Busta Rhymes, The Avalanches, Carl Cox
and David Bowie, the sophomore festival ran between July 28th and August 14th 2002, in cities across the US and Canada.

When the tour reached Toronto, on August 5th, sadly Busta Rhymes was unable to perform due to problems crossing the border, but
the highlight of the day was undoubtedly David Bowie, who most attendees had come to see, and whose set of tunes both old and new was extraordinary. With the whole affair recorded for Live FM Broadcast, the superb performance Bowie gave that mid-summer evening almost 20 years ago lives on. Previously unreleased however, this new CD changes all that and brings this marvellous concert to fans of the great man for the first time. Augmented too by bonus cuts from Radio and TV sessions from the same year this new release is certain to prove a true delight for Bowie enthusiasts across the world.
