“Electricity” and “Red Frame/White Light” were charting singles taken from the record. A re-recorded version of “Messages” provided OMD with their first hit in the UK, reaching #13.
The album has nonetheless been named as one of the best electronic albums of the 1980s, and has been championed by
major artists such as ZZ Top and Vince Clarke of Erasure (formerly chief songwriter of Depeche Mode, Yazoo and The Assembly).
