THE BEAST IN STOCKHOLM
In June 2003, Iron Maiden released the double DVD promo-videos compilation entitled Visions of the Beast which went multi-platinum
worldwide. During the same period the band started a promotional tour related to the new DVD and forthcoming album, Dance Of
Death. The summer leg was named the, ‘Give Me Ed... 'Til I'm Dead Tour’ and embraced 57 shows in Europe and North America.
They played indoor arenas, stadiums, American amphitheatres and headlined big festivals such as Roskilde, Heineken Jammin'
Festival, Rock am Ring and Rock im Park (combined attendance of 130.000) and the first edition of the Download Festival held at
Donington Park after the huge attraction of its successor, the Monsters of Rock festival.
Following the tour, Iron Maiden released Dance of Death, their thirteenth studio album, which was met by worldwide critical and
commercial success.
One of the tour’s very finest shows was performed in Sweden’s capital city, at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium on 28th June 2003, a
concert recorded for live radio broadcast at the time. With Maiden performing live for close to 2 hours in total, and playing a greatest
hits and live favourites set in general, with a few choice cuts from the new LP thrown in for good measure, it surprising this magnificent
recording has not previously been released. However, this is no longer the case with this new double CD Set now featuring the entire
concert for the band’s millions of fans to hear and to own for the first time
