Beginning in 1976, US public television service PBS has broadcast the Austin City Limits show since its inception. Recorded live from the Texas’s capital, the program has contributed to the city being known as the “Live Music Capital Of The World”. • Leonard Cohen had been conspicuous by his absence from the show until, in 1988, all that changed when he performed a sterling set on ACL, during which he included five cuts from the recently released I’m Your Man album, alongside a string of other classics. The full broadcast is now included on this CD for the first time, providing an opportunity for the great man’s fans to re-live this rarely heard concert.
