Following something of a hiatus while Siouxsie and Budgie recorded and released their second album as the Creatures, and Steve
Severin and new-boy Martin McCarrick worked on material together, in 1991 Siouxsie and The Banshees released new single ‘Kiss
Them For Me’.
• Mixing strings over a dance rhythm laced with exotica, the group collaborated with then unknown Indian tabla player Talvin Singh, who
also sang during the bridge. The single received glowing reviews and later peaked in the Billboard Hot 100 at number 23, allowing
them to reach a new audience. The album Superstition followed shortly afterwards, and the group toured the US as second headliners
of the inaugural Lollapalooza tour.
• In October ’91, the Banshees move to Europe to play a handful of shows in the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and France. One of
the group’s very finest performances on their European leg of the tour took place at Paris’s Le Zenith venue on 28th of the month,
where they put on a concert which was recorded for live FM radio broadcast by the country’s France Inter station.
• Not previously released, this new CD contains the complete concert Siouxsie and The Banshees played that autumn evening, now
more than 30 years ago.
