• INCREDIBLE LIVE VAN THE MAN BROADCAST FROM 1974
• Hard Nose the Highway, Van Morrison’s seventh studio album, was released in August 1973 to less than rave reviews.
Coming on the back of Van’s previous, and roundly championed, St. Dominic’s Preview in July ’72, the new record was
something of a let-down.
• So when Morrison went on tour during the early spring and summer of 1974, he was largely promoting his February ’74
live double, It’s Too Late to Stop Now. Elmore Magazine later stated; "When It’s Too Late To Stop Now was first
released, everyone - and I do mean everyone - tripped over themselves to hail the two-LP set as one of the greatest live
renderings of the rock era." Reviewing the album in Creem, Robert Christgau hailed it as Morrison's best since
Moondance.
• Between March and July ’74, Van Morrison played across Europe, performing in France, Germany, The Netherlands,
Switzerland, the UK and Ireland. But the finest show he put on during this jaunt took place in the Danish capital,
Copenhagen, on 6th April. Playing a quite incredible set that night, the entire proceedings were recorded for live FM
Radio Broadcast, and are now available for the first time on this new CD.
