As legendary a performer and musician as any to have emerged during the rock age, Neil Young remains as vital as ever he did. And now in his seventy sixth year, still releasing music and constantly working on archive projects, while so many of his contemporaries have either passed on or remain happy to rely on their back catalogues, Young has the energy of a man a quarter his age. • This four CD set celebrates and champions Neil Young’s extraordinary work as it features three of his finest ever live shows, taken from different eras of his astonishing career, and all recorded for live broadcast transmission at the time. • First off, DISC ONE here was recorded in Flushing, New York in 1973 while Neil and his Santa Monica Flyers were touring the album his record company were delaying the release of, Tonight’s The Night, finally released in 1975. • DISC TWO of this collection contains Young’s magnificent performance recorded in Paris in 1989 during a solo-acoustic tour of Europe hot on the heels of his comeback album Freedom. Completing the set, on DISC THREE and DISC FOUR is Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s extraordinary performance at the 2001 Roskilde Festival in Denmark, recorded on 29th June, 2001.
