The Heep's sound was not just about seductive, heavy riffing; it was about the drama and energy that they brought to their performances such as this. Their appearance in San Diego is a perfect example of those two qualities and captures the spirit of a band that defined an era, and whose legacy in heavy rock continues to endure.
