Bruce Springsteen - The Gap Year Broadcast Vol.1
It’s been well documented many times before how Bruce Springsteen was kept out of the studio for almost a year following the recording of Born To Run due to legal wrangles with his former manager. These were finally settled in 1977, but during this time The Boss and the E Streeters were no slouches; the shows they performed were as potent, explosive and dynamic as anything they played before or since. This two instalment release contains one such performance, recorded at the Allen Theatre, Cleveland, OH, on 7th April 1976 for live FM broadcast, and the show surely remains among the very finest Bruce and Co. have ever given. Featuring a quite mesmerising setlist and an ambience that has to be heard to be believed, this release is the first time this gig has featured on vinyl.
