DELUXE VINYL EDITION!!!
Formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker, Anthrax is still considered one of the leaders of the thrash metal scene from the 1980s, and is one of the ‘Big Four’ thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer; Anthrax is also the only one of the four from the US East Coast. By 1993 the band had left their original record company, Island, and signed with Elektra, with whom they released Sound of White Noise in May 93, the group’s sixth studio album. A change from Anthrax's earlier work, with a dark sound influenced by alternative rock, Sound of White Noise received mostly-positive reviews upon its release. On 8th August Anthrax performed at The Wallace Civic Center, Fitchburg (near Boston), MA, where they put on an extraordinary show featuring cuts from their latest record alongside numbers from previous albums, all of which culminated in one quite incredible concert. The whole affair was recorded for live FM Broadcast on WBCN104.1 Boston, for transmission across the greater Boston area.
