Interviews And Spoken Word Biographies Of The Pixies
• Formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts by Black Francis (on vocals and rhythm guitar), Joey Santiago (on lead guitar), Kim Deal
(on bass and backing vocals) and David Lovering (on drums), the Pixies were among the most cherished US alternative groups of the late 1980s and early 1990s, but disbanded acrimoniously in 1993. They reunited however in 2004, and after Kim Deal left in 2013, she was replaced by Paz Lenchantin, who became a permanent member in 2016.
• The iconic status the Pixies earned across more than 35 years as one of the most legendary groups of the post-punk era remains to this day, and in celebration of their ongoing popularity, remarkable compositional skills and consummate performance abilities, this box set, containing 3 live and interview CDs by the band, is certain to prove a delight for the Pixies’ multi-thousands of fans still flying the flag for these independent misfits.
• Featuring, on DISC ONE, one of the band’s early shows, recorded for live FM broadcast at Emerson College in their hometown on January 18th 1987, DISC TWO contains gigs they performed at The Hollywood Palladium in L.A. on 21st and 22nd December 1991. Concluding the set, DISC THREE features interviews with, and audio about, the Pixies from across the group’s career.
