hellmet emerged from the burning pits of Hades in 1970, made one acetate, lost it. then split up. rumoured to exist amongst a small circle of prog collectors, the acetate was rediscovered 50 years later and sold for £10,000 in 2021. demonic lead guitar dominates in 5 searing psych metal tracks, peaking with the doom laden heroin ballad Judgement Day. a key in the EVILution of heavy prog, coming out of Cream and into nascent Zep. cover reproduces an orig sketch for the planned 1970 lp.
