EXTRAORDINARY 1977 RUMOURS SHOW IN TOKYO

Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours tour took place after the band released their eleventh studio album in February 1977. Due to the album's
huge success Fleetwood Mac embarked on a world jaunt taking in North America, Europe, their native UK, Japan and Oceania.
Taking a break from the recording sessions for their follow-up album Tusk, the band went back on the road in the summer of 1978,
playing arenas and stadiums in the United States.
• The Japanese leg of the tour took place in December ’77, by which time the mighty Mac had been on the road for the best part of a
year, but the shows they performed in the land of the rising sun, which took place between 1st and 5th of the month, with their final
show in the country performed at the Nippon Budokan in the capital city on 5th December, were mesmerising. A stunning show was
witnessed in Tokyo which the often more sedate Japanese audience went crazy for and it seems were allowed by the authorities to
display their sheer enjoyment and enthusiasm for, without restriction.
• Bonus cuts here come from Fleetwood Mac’s Midnight Special TV appearance recorded 18 months earlier, for live television broadcast
on 8th April 1976
