The long awaiting reissue of the Defeated Sanity's first album, “Prelude to the Tragedy”. The album was first released in 2004, and saw the band planting a flag in the underground death metal scene. Featuring a cleaner sound than subsequent albums, Prelude to the Tragedy remains the favourite release for a number of fans. Following in the footsteps of American bands like Disgorge, Suffocation and Deeds of Flesh, Defeated Sanity added progressive elements to their sound which can be traced back to this record. The band would go on to sign to Willowtip Records and eventually hit the US Billboard charts with as significant level of success for a Brutal Death Metal band.
