First re-release of this forgotten hard rock and German rock gem from 1982 which includes the rare 7“ single from 1980 as bonus tracks.
Krautrock and Heavy Metal collectors have known it for a long time: many hidden treasures can be found in the regional scenes of the seventies and eighties. For example, most rare singles and albums of the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, 1978-1984) are from local acts to sell at gigs and in the local record store. You can also find them in Germany. Golden Core dug deep as usual and came across Limerick from Pirmasens. • Limerick were founded in 1978 and went through several line-up changes until the recording of their first single „Hard Work“ / „Alaska Nights“ in 1980. This rarity, found here as a bonus track, already shows with the rocking A-side that the young gentlemen were definitely turned towards hard rock, while the B-side reminds of some of the glam heroes of that time. A quite successful composition and especially today a very exciting mixture! • „On Tour“ is a forgotten pearl of German hard rock, partly with 70s punch. Comparisons with some rarities of the NWOBHM can‘t be denied, even if Limerick leave the heavy path here and there and then offer perfect German rock. The LP and the single were overdubbed by Patrick Engel (Metal Blade, High Roller Records etc.) and restored and remastered by Neudi.
